Vacation and Indians

Hi,

I had a very strange dream last night.

I was going with my best friend to Brazil (I live in Argentina) to spend our vacations there. To get there we had to go trough a big field, but there were indians all around it. I saw many, many arrows coming our way, they were trying to attack us. Finally one arrow hit on my neck, and then I woke up.

What do you think this dream means?

Thank you for your answer!

Carolina

Good morning, Carolina.

It's especially challenging to translate a dream from outside my country. Your dream illustrates one of the reasons. I'm sure that it's significant that you are spending your vacation in Brazil, but I do not know what that means to someone living in Argentina, so I'll have to leave that part up to you and work on the rest of it.

You are travelling with your best friend. This indicates the beginning of an endeavor, one in which you feel you are not alone. Since it's a vacation, this points to some enjoyable endeavor. But it won't be an easy task.

Having to cross a big field is, by itself, quite an obstacle, but is not especially dangerous. This would indicate the work you expect to do in order to make your plans happen. The savages which attack you might represent forces which more actively oppose your plans. The fact that you're hit may mean that you're not very optimistic about your chances.

But there's another possibility that keeps popping up in my mind - perhaps it's because I'm interpreting this on Valentine's day. This makes me think of arrows representing love (Cupid's arrows). In that light, your dream takes on a whole new meaning: you may have a friend who could become much more than a friend.

So much depends upon your emotional state when you woke up from the dream. This sounds like it could be a scary dream, but were you frightened when you woke - or were you happy, or curious?

Pleasant dreams,

Peregrin
