Bad Eggs

Dear Peregrin,

I had a dream that this coworker was at my house. He asked me to make him some food. I asked him if english muffins and eggs were okay. He said yes. So when I cracked the egg to cook up a spider and a huge bug with big green wings came out. I told him to look and he told me to just cook up something else and throw that egg away. That's it.

The coworker could suggest a work setting. By being at your house and asking for food, though, brings it closer to a personal setting. Possibly this represents someone you know on one level (professional) but the relationship is changing to another level (personal). The request for a meal can be a favor of any type, but probably more related to a friendship than to a work situation. By attempting to fulfill the request, you get unexpected (and distasteful) results. This could mean that the proposed project does not work out as planned, but no one is upset by this.
