It was a very odd dream in which my sister and I went through or around many obstacles in order to give her daughter up for adoption. Eventually I realized that I would much rather keep Anna than give her up. I guess sometimes I can be slow about seeing alternatives.

Being slow to see an alternative can spur exactly this kind of dream. It sounds as if you may be working very hard for a goal that you don't really want to achieve.
