I Didn't Do It!

Dear Peregrin,

I had this dream last night where I was supposed to be in my math class, but it was like we were having class outside during the fall (everything was brown) and my math teacher comes up to me and says that he "knows I was the one who did it" (but I'm not sure what "it" was). I adamantly refused, there was no way I could have done it, then all of the sudden one of my friends stands up and says "yeah, she couldn't have done it, she's innocent" and then everyone, in my whole class, stood up and was chanting this. I remember feeling how happy I was to know that all these people liked me and would stand up for me, even my crush was in the corner chanting. The teacher said something to the effect of "fine, whatever" and then there was this gap of time where I was just walking with my friend down a path of dried leaves on the ground. Next I took a chain that had padlocks on it and locked up these 3 cars together by attaching the locks to the windows somehow. Then the teacher came back and saw and I said sorry and got the keys and unlocked it.

And that's all I remember.

Ally

Good morning, Ally.

Fall is a time representing passages, as it is a transition from the warmth of summer to the cold of winter. As such, it stands for transitions from life to death, from bounty to famine - in short, a time when things are starting to end. However, it also represents a beginning - as the summer ends, the school year starts. As the growth of summer ends, the harvest begins. So fall in a dream represents some things ending while others are beginning.

I've read quite a few dreams about having class outside of the school building lately. It seems to me that this represents a learning situation which has nothing to do with school at all, but is rather more social, less structured.

In this context, your math teacher represents any or all authority figures, with which you find yourself at odds. You identify much more strongly with your peers, and may have more support from them than you realize.

The second part of this dream shows you in a situation in which you actually are doing something wrong, and are caught at it. This can mean a couple of things - One is, you have peer support even if you are guilty. The second is, you have an inherent honesty - which may reveal why you have such strong support in the first place.

Pleasant dreams,

Peregrin
