Dating Friend

Hi,

I have been having this dream that my friend Scott and I start dating. We have gone through a lot lately. Anyway I have had feelings for him since we meet, but he started dating someone else, so I turned the feelings off. I don't understand what the dreams are trying to tell me. please help.

I rather doubt that you've actually "turned off" your feelings for Scott. What you've probably done is suppressed them, and one thing dreams are really good for is examining suppressed emotions.

You don't have to worry about giving too much information - if I don't need it then I can always ignore it. Actually, there's not quite enough information here - I mean, it's obvious that your dreams are about your relationship with Scott, but that's about all - each dream probably has separate messages about that relationship.

Basically speaking, he's still a part of your life, and you still have feelings for him, and you have to deal with that instead of ignoring it.

I'm not saying that you have to date Scott, or come between him and the girl he's dating. It could be that you can go along quite happily just being friends - it's quite all right to admit that you care for your friends. It really depends upon how you feel and what you want.
