Rosy Street

Hi,

Thank you very much for being so kind as to interpret my dream. I usually do a bit of soul searching after I dream, but this dream was short, quite vivid and made no sense to me.:)

I was in a car (not sure it was mine) and found myself driving down a street in which every house, including woodwork and even the sky was a deep rose color. The houses were quite large, like Victorians, fairly close together. And in one house I could see a lamp in the second-floor window and lamp shade and curtains were also a deep rose. At one point another car came from the right and lightly hit my front passenger door. I came to a stop and was looking for ID and felt relieved that everything was in order. I don't remember any actual damage to the car. Just a sense of relief that my papers were in order.

Thank you very much.

Christa

Good morning, Christa.

What jumps out at me right away is the rose coloring of everything on the street. This implies a rosy world-view, or to use the cliche, looking at the world through rose-colored glasses. The houses are old-fashioned, implying old-fashioned values. They are close together, giving a sense of a close-knit neighborhood.

But this is not your home -you're a tourist here. This makes me think that you don't actually live in this world, but perhaps you want to.

You're not even sure that the car you are driving is yours. You are in control of where you go, but if the car is borrowed, you don't truly feel in control of your destiny.

There is a light in a window - a timeless symbol of someone waiting. Are they waiting for you? I think so - you feel that there could be a place for you in this rosy little neighborhood.

The cars colliding indicate an accidental meeting. The fact that there's no damage to the vehicle means that this is not a malicious encounter, yet you seem very concerned with your papers - you are used to covering yourself, having to provide proof of every claim. You were hit on your passenger door, but you are carrying no passengers - do you feel as if your journey through life is a lonely one?

This chance meeting could end with a new friend or a new enemy - much depends on how it is handled from here. My thoughts are, if you are not hurt (or offended) by the encounter, and you are sure you are not at fault, then you might want to redirect your energy to putting the other party at ease. How you handle things from here will make all the difference.

Pleasant dreams,

Peregrin
