Targeted

I recently had a dream, it was very short, but disturbing. Of what i remember, it started off in a Target store and a younger guy approached me. As he approached me, he said to leave his sister alone. I said, "I don't know you or your sister, so whatever dude." I then walked away, but as I walked away he grabbed my shoulder to turn me around and said that he will show me and proceeded to shoot me 4 times, and the fifth time square in the head...I then woke up. Can you possibly help me with what this may mean, if anything?

Thank you

Tony

Good morning, Tony.

The basic element of this dream seems to be a fear of being targeted for random violence (hence the name of the store). This is certainly understandable considering the national news the past few years.

But that's not all there is to it. The shooter wants you to stay away from his sister, but it's a case of mistaken identity because you've never met him or his sister. So you seem to be accused of something falsely - you are innocent but you pay the price anyway. The number of times you are shot may relate to how often you've endured false accusation, or how many people think you're guilty.
In your dream you turn to walk away, which in waking life would equate to ignoring the problem. I think that the message here is that the problem is not going to go away. You have to find a way to prove your innocence.

Pleasant dreams,

Peregrin
