Haunted Mansion

Dear Peregrin,

Mom gave me a very old mansion in her will that I never knew about (she isn't really dead but in my dream she was). Richard (my boyfriend) and I moved in there. It had 2 stories and a basement. I never saw the outside of the house in my dream.

I immediately had a party with bunch of my old friends (that I used to hang out with few years ago before we all had a falling out) They all hung out in the garage and the basement hanging around this old yellowish Buick that looked like it was made in late 70's. I saw Tonya (an ex friend that I had a really horrible fight with) sitting in front of the open fridge and eating everything out of the fridge. I felt disgusted at her. The kids trashed the house and ran out after telling them to leave.

Only one stayed behind she was a little Chinese girl I've never ever met in real life. We hit off at the party and she didn't like what they've done. While we were talking we heard things...(I'm deaf in real life but in the dream I wasn't) so we went upstairs from the basement and saw 4 chairs spinning and rocking out of control, we freaked out and took off. Then I found out that the kids from the party somehow triggered them to do that just to scare me because I'm skittish about ghosts.

I saw a closet that I never saw before and opened it and saw there was long stairs going up. I remember thinking IMPOSSIBLE this house can't get bigger as it is. So Leann (my best friend in real life), Richard and I stepped up and saw the new layer of the house was sprawling out on and on to the end of the house, filled with antique, I even found very very old sun clock thing before clocks was invented. Then we noticed we had another floor of the attic and I said I can clean this out and rent these parts out. But there were so many things.

I walked to a glass enclosed box with nothing inside but a blanket. Thought nothing of it and started to walk away then a cat's paw started to poke in to the glass box and waved at me. I stopped and looked and saw 2 cats behind the box one gray striped cat that is about the size as my dog Missy (an American Eskimo dog) and an orange/cream colored cat was laying beside the big one just staring at me. I've never seen them in my life.

Everything in the attic disappeared and all of a sudden we were in the living room eating dinner and the door bell rang and Richard went to answer it and it was Matt (an acquaintance that is a lawyer in my town) giving us dinner rolls and told us he's our neighbor and left. Richard opened the box and showed the rolls to me.

Dear Peregrin,

I had this dream that I was walking down this busy street, with about 20 colourful balloons with strings. The end of the street was empty and at the end of the street was my friend's house. I haven't seen her in about 17 yrs.

What's going on in my Life? My daughter just did an audition to go to L A. She didn't get picked. We have been for the last three weeks running to Toronto for photos shots, graduation for modelling and so on. I have so many medical tests going on too.

Lottery Ticket

hi there.

Yesterday I had a dream that I scratched off a lotto ticket..(it was an orange/red colored type ticket) you know how when you win, there are letters on the ticket that spell out the amount you won in the abbrevated form? Well it said ..F O U R T Y T H O U S ...It was strange, I had to use a key to enter it into a door? And when the key lit up, in the door, it was an indication that I had in fact won the 'fourty thousand' dollars...

Here comes the good part, lol.. I had threw a party and I lost the ticket!! I searched the house up and down and inside and out for it with no success..I remember hiding it in a hockey stick..*shakes head* lol but when I went back to it, it was gone.. It felt so real.. I was so upset..and then I woke up after kicking everyone out .. I'm sorry for the length of this, but what could this possibly mean?

From what I am assuming, its telling me not to put so much dependability of hitting it big one day in order to get ahead in life.. For the past couple of weeks I've been kind of hoping that I'd win something big..but like I said, this is just an assumption of what it could possibly mean... What do you think?

Good morning, Sherrie.

Oh, can I ever sympathise with your feelings, before, during, and after this dream. We could all use some kind of windfall in such troubled times.

This is what I feel triggered the dream, and you are probably correct that one of the messages is to not depend upon a windfall to get ahead. But it's also telling you to be more careful with what you have. By hiding the ticket in a hockey stick - a piece of sporting equipment that seems to you now to be such a ludicrous hiding place - you were very careless with the opportunity that you had been given - and made matters worse by depending upon it to finance your party. No wonder you were upset with all your guests!

It gets worse. If you didn't forget where you put the ticket, but it's not there later, then obviously one of your party guests took it. This suggests an aquaintance - someone that you have let into your life - is not trustworthy.

The unusual way that you had to discover your good fortune suggests that opportunities exist for you to get what you want, but they may not take the form that you expect.

To recap, the three messages that I can glean from this dream are:

1. Don't depend upon a windfall (you got this one on your own).
2. Keep your eyes open for unusual opportunities - and guard them carefully when you do get them.
3. Be careful whom you trust.

Debutante

Dear Peregrin,

I'd like some help interpreting a dream I had over the weekend. To make a long dream short - I found myself back at the age 20 or 21 and had to making my formal debut into society. The dream seemed to drag on as a young man (my escort) and I went from room to room in this large Country Club where there were pictures on the wall of different people in History. In each of the rooms, there were people sitting, having tea and light conversation, we did not speak unless we were spoken to. We finally reached the outside where my mother and a man that is supposed to be her husband (mom's single), are waiting. They present me with a Cadillac Escalade EXT and $200,000 dollars. The dream seemed more like a Wedding Party than a Debutante Ball; there wasn't much dancing or events that you would expect at a Debutante's Ball. Can make heads or tales of it. Would appreciate any insight given.
