Yellow Raincoat

When I was about 8 or 9 I had a dream that reoccurred every night for 3 weeks. It became so bad that I would become terrified at bedtime and would try to keep myself awake by force.

I lived in an apartment at the time.

Well every night when I fell to sleep I would see a man in a yellow raincoat in my basement. He had holes dug up all around the basement floor. He would just walk outside and bring bodies into the basement and cover them with an orange tarp.

It had me so frightened even though that is all he would do. I'm much older now, but have wondered for so long why I was having such a dream.

Okay, this guy came to the screen door at my house and I was about 5 metres away in the kitchen and he was pointing a gun at me through the door yelling at me, and I remember that I was begging him not to kill me because I didn't want to die, then he just ran off

Stranger Outside

Hi.

I'm 18 and I'm male. I used to live in a bungalow all my life until a year ago when I moved house and into a semi-detached house. Anyway when I was about 7 years old I was still living in the bungalow and I had this dream. The dream was as follows:

I was alone in my home, the bungalow, and it was night time so it was dark outside. It was also raining very heavily. I then went to a window and looked out. When I looked out I could see a figure standing in the rain. I couldn't see their face and didn't know who they were but I think it was a man anyway. For some reason this figure scared the hell out of me and I jump away from the window. I then close the curtains of the window and make sure the window is closed. After that I run around the house and make sure all the windows and curtains are closed. I then check that the door is securely locked. Nothing else happened but I was terrified that this person, whom I didn't know, would somehow get inside with me.

I have had this dream many times since then. I have even had this dream when I moved to my new house but I dreamt that I was still in my old house, in the bungalow. All the times I have had this dream I have never seen who this person is and the person has never got inside the house. I don't know what this means and it is the only dream that I have had more than once. Can you explain it?

The Monster

Dear Peregrin,

I'm in my bed and my mother is downstairs doing laundry in the garage. I get up to try and find my mother for something when I hear a noise. So I go downstairs to see what it is. I hear it again, and it sounds like someone is knocking on the door. The curtains are closed so I can't see who it is. I walk over and look behind the cutains and this very enormous guy is standing there, and he is saying, "Let me in." I remember that he had extremely huge fingers and especially his fingernails. He had red, crazy hair and large pointed teeth. I was terrified beyond belief. So I called my mother for help. She hears me and comes over to see what is wrong. But for some reason she doesn't see this hidous guy wanting to come in. I cry and cry but she just walks away like nothing is happening. Then I look over and there he is still wanting to get inside. After awhile I start to open the door. All I can focus on is this guy's fingers becuase they are so big. As I am opening the door his mouth waters and that is when I wake up.

Burglars

Dear Peregrin,

This dream which i call my Burglar dream is a reocurring dream that i have at least once a year.

In the dream it's like I'm having an out of body experience. I'm floating above everyone and I can see what's going on. My body is in bed asleep. My parents and my little 3 year old half sister are asleep. Then suddenly 3 or 4 (the number differs) men dressed in all black break into the house and come up the steps. My bedroom is at the very top of the steps and in my dream I get so scared because I know these people know that we're all in the house and we're asleep and they want to kill us so they can rob us. But they can't decide on who to kill first. That's usually when I wake up. It scares me half to death! Please help me!
