Freebird

I recently had a dream that seems to have struck me funnier than other dreams in the past. I dreamt I looked down at my left arm because I felt like a few nerves in my forearm were going crazy. when i looked down i saw three parakeet heads poking out of my skin and what appeared to be the rest of them buried under it. They were alive and there were no wounds what so ever around the birds. they were pecking at the skin trying to get free and i thought, there's no way i can get these birds out. If i pull on them i might snap their heads and kill them. So i just continued on in my dream. Later on somehow it came back to that dream where i look down again, and this time there's a black arm warmer covering where the skin was covering on the birds. so i pulled the fabric away from my arm to free the birds and dozens of birds came flying out. as if my whole forearm was packed with birds trapped under an arm warmer.

A few things currently going on in my life... I'm 5 months pregnant, been under a lot of stress at work where i have sharp deadlines. I work as a graphic artist. I have an 8 year old and have been married for 9 years. I've been struggling with relationship issues and carry a lot of regret and guilt that cannot really be explained to many people.

I hope you can tell me what this symbolizes. I remember details down to the texture of the fur on the birds heads and the holes in the beak where the nostrils are... to even the curve of their beaks. Thank you in advance.

Targeted

I recently had a dream, it was very short, but disturbing. Of what i remember, it started off in a Target store and a younger guy approached me. As he approached me, he said to leave his sister alone. I said, "I don't know you or your sister, so whatever dude." I then walked away, but as I walked away he grabbed my shoulder to turn me around and said that he will show me and proceeded to shoot me 4 times, and the fifth time square in the head...I then woke up. Can you possibly help me with what this may mean, if anything?

Thank you

Tony

Lift Spider

Dear Peregrin,

I'm 24. I dreamt I was in a hotel with my parents. We were trying to take the elevator somewhere. When the lift door closed, I saw my Dad twitch. He quietly told us that there was a spider and told us not to be scared. When the lift door opened, I saw the biggest spider I've ever seen in my life. It was the width of the entire elevator and it was just quietly hidden above the elevator door, with only its big legs and part of its body exposed. My parents ran out and I ran out after them. We had to take the elevator a few more times. The spider did not attempt to jump down and hurt us. It just stayed where it was.

I am so freaked out! This morning when I woke up to take the elevator, I glanced up the lift door, scared to see something, yet scared not to check before I walked under it. =(

Rosy Street

Hi,

Thank you very much for being so kind as to interpret my dream. I usually do a bit of soul searching after I dream, but this dream was short, quite vivid and made no sense to me.:)

I was in a car (not sure it was mine) and found myself driving down a street in which every house, including woodwork and even the sky was a deep rose color. The houses were quite large, like Victorians, fairly close together. And in one house I could see a lamp in the second-floor window and lamp shade and curtains were also a deep rose. At one point another car came from the right and lightly hit my front passenger door. I came to a stop and was looking for ID and felt relieved that everything was in order. I don't remember any actual damage to the car. Just a sense of relief that my papers were in order.

Thank you very much.

Mystery Girl

Dear Peregrin,

Hello, first and foremost thank you for reading this and getting back to me with a reply. Without beating the bush much further let me jump right in.

A while back I had a dream where I was sitting with a girl. I can't precisely remember what she looked like but we were on a wall. She didn't have a name, and if she did I can't remember it. Well we began talking and we both soon realized that it was all merely a dream. She looked at me scared and asked me what happened when I woke up. She wanted to know if she was going to live or die or stop existing. She thought completely on her own separate from my own thoughts. I told her I didn't know. She then hung tightly on me and I held her back. I woke up crying.

That was some time ago. Then a few days ago I had a dream where I was on an island. On that island there was a school. For some reason I was attending it. I can't precisely remember the events that took pace only that the school was large and it was very dark. The sky was dark and water was rough and it was windy. I had accidentally dropped something. A ell phone I believe and I forgot about it. When I remembered it I was in class. In the class I was in there was a girl I like. Well to try and get her attention I stood in front of hte class asking if anyone would like to come search for my cell phone with me. The only person to reply was a quiet girl. I think she was red headed. So I sighed and agreed. We began walking. I can't precisely remember what happened but we soon fell in love. I was happy. I soon woke up after other events happened that I can't precisely remember. What I do remember is the girl was with me through out the rest of the dream. She also gripped onto me and was afraid of me going. I soon realized it was the same girl who realized she was just a dream...

Realizing this made me remember another dream I had that remains with me, I can't remember everything precisely but I'll do my best to describe it. It happened after the first dream and before the second one I described. Well in it I woke.As I usually do when I first wake up I roll over to check my cell phone. I see I have a few missed calls and a voice message. It was from my ex. I got out of bed and went to take my brothers to school as I typically do. Except the sky was dark the wind was blowing and something just seemed wrong. I realized it was just a dream and I woke up. I rolled over to check my phone. I had a weird voice mail from a girl begging for my help. I didn't know who it was and I felt terrible about it. I got out of bed. I then ended up at the mall where there were a few people I knew. I realized it was still a dream and I got pretty upset. Then I saw a girl up after some escalators and I realized she needed some help. I wasn't sure who it was, but even though I knew it was only a dream I decided to help anyway. As soon as I go up to the girl I woke up. This time I was upset. I cursed and said if this was still a dream I would be very pissed off. I roll over to check my phone. Another call the same girl. Then something else. Well I end up at a movie theater. At the movie theater I see a strange looking man. I walk up to him and for some reason I ask him who he was. He told me blatanly he was the reason I could not wake up. I stood there as he laughed and merely called him a dick.. That's when velociraptors started attacking. I had to kill them all and he told me if I wanted to save her I would destroy them all. So I was well on my way. Until I woke up. This time I was so angry I went to check if I was asleep and punched myself in the face really hard. Needless to say this time it wasn't a dream. Well I went around all day thinking about it.

After having the second dream I described I realized the girl in the above dream was the same. The same girl in all three dreams. Now a little about me to help clarify things. First and foremost I have a few mental illnesses which are not being treated. This does include DID unfortunately. I have history of abuse among other things. I am currently 20 out of school and unemployed. I have a deep interest in the paranormal and the undead. My original presumption was that this girl was a succubi, but that would be impossible because she would appear more often and she would perform sexual acts with me in the dreams. She also wasn't any sort of vampire because there are no vampires that have that capability (with adult males anyway). Also it could not possibly be some sort of ghost since no other paranormal activity is occurring in my house.

Also my typical good dreams aren't what many people consider good. The dreams I enjoy are ones filled with monsters and zombies. I usually battle whatever it is and I wake up fulfilled, it's any other dreams (especially realistic ones) that I can not handle. Hopefully that is enough information. I just hope that you can provide some sort of help. I could not figure this one out on my own. Thank you in advance.

Sex on the Beach

I had a LUCID dream about me and my boyfriend seeing each other on the beach. I started kissing him and he pulled back and dove into the water. Then I saw my secret crush and he came over and started making out with me. I had sex with the crush and it really did feel good. Was this dream telling me I am a slut, or was there a deeper meaning?

Beloved Pet Attacks

Hi,

A friend of mine gave me your address after she had written to you about a dream she had. Your analysis was right on. I am hoping that you could provide some insight into a recurring dream that I have been having lately. It has only happened a handful of times over the past few months, but each time it has disturbed me. While the dream has been different each time, a certain occurrence remains almost the same.

Just a little background. When I was growing up my family had a pet cat named Sam. He and I had an instant bond, as people with pets often do, and he was soon known as "my" pet more than any other of the family. I loved Sam, and I knew he loved me.

Now on to my dream:

The first time I had the dream I was alone. I was sitting on my couch and Sam was under the coffee table. He was in a playful mood and I was putting my hand down and quickly taking it away as I often did when I played with him. Suddenly, he got a malicious look in his eye. He jumped from under the coffee table and bit into my neck, his paws wrapped around me, claws digging into me. I was terrified! I tried to get him off without hurting him but knowing that I would have to hurt him to do so, but his grip was too strong...I woke up with a gasp at that point.

Last night I had another dream. I was sitting in a kitchen chair that my family had as I was growing up. I don't think I was in my childhood home, however. I remember there being someone around, a friend, but I cannot say who and I don't think it was very important in the dream. Sam was there again. But instead of attacking me, he jumped and attacked the back of the kitchen chair. Still I was terrified, it was almost as if he was attacking me and not the chair. I had the same feelings--not wanting to hurt him because I loved him and he didn't know any better because he was just a cat but needing to hurt him to make him stop. He had changed and I didn't know what to do. At this point I woke up.

I almost feel as if it's a trust issue, here's this thing I love but it ends up hurting me. I have been hurt plenty of times before, and I have a really hard time opening up and trusting men that I date. I just started a new relationship, but I cannot remember if the first dream I had was before or after it began. I am also growing apart from a friend that brought me much comfort when I was going through a bad spell. I don't feel that bad about it though, it just seems natural that we are going our own separate ways. Anyhow, I just thought this might help with the analysis.

This recurrence has been very disturbing and I am not sure what to make of it. Can you help?

Thank you,

Stephanie

Too Heavy

Once again, thank you for your time and insights. If you were interested, I think things are beginning to come together.

I've been under major spiritual reconstruction for a few years. It's been interesting but a challenge too. Your words made me think about things differently and helped me to have a dream that further explained what's going on.

In my dream, I ran into this man that I had a very brief relationship with three years ago. (In real life, I felt a deep connection with him that I've never felt with anyone else. He didn't feel the same so it ended. He was kind about the breakup but it hurt all the same. I haven't dated since.) This time though, he was about 100 lbs. heavier and he was completely in love with me. I was a little put off by his weight and I did NOT trust him at all. He was very affectionate and tried to hug me and hold my hand but I was embarrassed by his weight and afraid he'd leave me again so I was real stand offish towards him. (I don't understand why I had an issue with his weight. I tend to like my men on the burly side so it was an odd reaction for me.)

He didn't care. He knew exactly what I was feeling and gently persuaded me to walk arm and arm with him. I did but I wasn't about to let myself feel the same way about him that I did before. I stayed cold and unpersonable towards him.

After a time, he looked deeply at me, smiled, held my hands to his heart and said something along the lines of, "I'm ready for you. I'm just waiting for you to be open to having me." I stood there feeling ashamed for my behavior-being so closed off to someone who has so much love for me. Then, I woke up.

So, the lesson is: I need to learn to open up to people. (Friends, family, potential partners, etc.) I also need to continue letting go of all my negative and shame filled emotions. Which could easily require the assistance of my acupuncturist...and a good dream interpreter. :)

Thanks again!

Fire in the House

This dream was very realistic to me and frightened me quite a bit as the place where the dream takes place is my house in which I have always felt very safe.

The dream started with me in my room with a few friends having a sleepover type thing. My mum came in and said to me that our house was to go up in flames in an hour. It was strange as the whole dream, we knew that our house was going up in flames. My mates wrote me 'goodbye' letters and put them in an envelope ( I thought this might be to do with the fact I am leaving school in a month). I kept telling them they should come with me, because they would die if not, but they just would not budge and they went to sleep in my bed. I kept running down and putting things in the car and going back up to ask them if they wanted to come but they still wouldn't. I grabbed a box I have containing my diary, photos, things I want to keep and I grabbed the box of photos my parents have, I also grabbed the envelope. As soon as my family and I closed the front door the whole house burst into flames and I cried so hard. We drove off to where my dog was and I asked my mum if we had grabbed my dog's toys, which she had. We drove to my auntie's house to find my dog and her dog (which is dead in real life), playing together. We took my dog and drove back to the house to find fire engines etc. They told me that the only room that was not damaged was the study, which contained 2 computers and all my school work.

This dream freaked me out a bit because I knew the house was to go up, id lost two of my friends but my school work had not been damaged. I'd really like to know what this was all about.

thanx

Playing Dead

Hi Peregrin!

My dream last night felt really unusual to me. It just gave me an uncomfortable feeling when I woke up.

I was in some sort of class but it had a very casual feel to it. There were tons of people there. I could not even begin to count how many. We had to line up next to a cliff and were all holding hands. I was holding an old friend's, Ben, hand and some girl I cannot recall on the other side. Then someone pushed me and I fell from the cliff. I was pretty scared and I just kept falling and then this big strong man caught me at the bottom of the cliff. It was really weird because then the teacher was down there and she was says to me, "oh we're playing a trick on the class. They all think you're dead but you're not. Let's keep it going as long as possible and try to shock them as much as possible."

So I was supposed to wait until the opportune moment to come back and trick the whole class. So then I had to go into my room to wait. It was just I and someone else in this tiny room. This room actually was my childhood playroom that used to be at my old house. Then my little sister ran in and "found" me and I tried to catch her before she could run up the stairs and tell everyone I was still alive but I could not catch her. So I chased her up the stairs but it was too late. Everyone knew I was alive by then. But when I went up the stairs it wasn't at the school or cliff anymore, it was my old house. My mom had painted everything differently and she was cooking dinner and on the phone. She saw me and was like ohh hi you're here.

And that's it. It just felt like a really weird dream. Anywho that is all I think.

Meeting the Family

Thank you for taking the time to help me interpret my dream... I had had it several times and in color.

I am walking through what looks to be a "Little House on the Prairie" scene, but rather in modern times with paved roads... Kinda like the old country you would see in the text books, like Europe or something. I go through the door with my friend Vincent and to my left there is a room with 2 barrels of hay and to my right is a room with green sofas. We both walk through the hallway together to find a long table with lots of people being happy and cheerful and eating Italian food. They act like they know Vincent and are happy to have me along. (Note: I have never even met Vincent's family in real life) He sits at the end of the table and I shyly sit to the left of him and someone serves me and him a plate of spaghetti with meatballs. He sits there and looks into my eyes and it is as if there is no body else in the room but me and him and he is trying to make me laugh and I am trying to be polite and trying NOT to laugh coz I am eating with a bunch of people I don't know, and he just continues to look into my eyes and in my dream it feels like time is standing still, and he just continues to sit there and smile at me. After leaving the table, we walk through the hall way and find our way to a room on the right with a blue blanket on the bed where we lay down. He begins kissing my forehead and we end up falling asleep in each other's arms. THEN I WAKE UP...

..And every time I have had this dream it feels so real and when I wake up I find myself looking for Vincent, like a dork.

I would really appreciate it if you could help me out. Thanks so much

-Jacquelyn

Another year over

Good morning, dreamers.

I have been rather lazy about new dream requests this year.  I'll try to take up the slack in 2013.

Everyone have a safe and happy holiday!

Tiger, Decapitation, Car

I was in a car with my mother and sister. The car was stopped and the windows were open. We were waiting for a tiger to cross the road when all of a sudden the tiger jumps in through the driver's window and into the back seat and bites my head. my head was in its mouth and it went completely dark. I woke up kicking my feet cause I thought I was dead because I woke up in complete darkness under all of my blankets. I don't know if this means anything?

Yellow Raincoat

When I was about 8 or 9 I had a dream that reoccurred every night for 3 weeks. It became so bad that I would become terrified at bedtime and would try to keep myself awake by force.

I lived in an apartment at the time.

Well every night when I fell to sleep I would see a man in a yellow raincoat in my basement. He had holes dug up all around the basement floor. He would just walk outside and bring bodies into the basement and cover them with an orange tarp.

It had me so frightened even though that is all he would do. I'm much older now, but have wondered for so long why I was having such a dream.

Thanks,

Shelly

Urine and Acupuncture

To begin with, I neglected to thank you for the last dream you interpreted. (It was about a Divine voice telling me to 'be there in Dec.' in regard to meeting a man with whom I could have a meaningful relationship.) I apologize for the delay. I really appreciate your time and insights. You gave me great peace of mind. :)

With that, I was wondering if you could help me with these two reoccurring dream themes I've been having lately. They don't happen every night but at least weekly. I have a feeling they're connected but I can't find the common link.

The first one-which I think I already understand-is of me urinating in public. (Which is quite embarrassing.) The circumstances are different in each dream but there's always some form of messy urination. In some I wet my self. In others, I go into a urinal that is smack in the middle of a very public place. Somehow I miss the toilet and everyone sees me dribble on the floor. (With being female, it's kind of an odd thing to miss the toilet.) And in one, I watched a dog (female) wet all over herself and I was mesmerized with the foot prints she made after walking through her urine.

So, other than I shouldn't overload on liquids before bed, :) I understood it that urine in a dreams stands for: feelings of rejection, releasing of negative emotions, lack of control, or lack of privacy. All of which, I could relate to events occurring now.

The next part is with acupuncture. I go regularly to a woman who has done wonders for me. She is very good at what she does and is very kind and compassionate.

In one dream, she pulls out this 3 foot long needle and attempts to put it in my left thigh. I start screaming and pleading with her not to do it. I grab her hand-to make her stop-but I'm not forceful about it. My touch is more of a reassuring kind. She proceeds to guide the needle in my leg, starting at my knee and threading it all the way up to my pelvis. When she's beginning, I'm screaming but as she gets it in, I calm down considerably, realizing that it didn't hurt at all.

In another, I'm at her office and I've been asked to do acupuncture on a man. As I begin, I'm working on his back. Instead of using needles though, I'm putting safety pins along his spine and one on the top of his left shoulder. I'm feeling confused because I have NO training in acupuncture so I was using intuition on where to place the pins. Another man comes in and I ask him if he can tell if I have the placement correct.

He reaches over to the man I was working on and says something along the lines of, "Lets try it on you and see." When he picked up the man, it was nothing but a hollow rubber torso. He slipped it over my head, placed in on me like a shirt, undid the safety pins, and started pinning the rubber onto me. I did nothing but sit there and wince in pain.

Do you think the two could be related? Any insights you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your time and wisdom.

My Horse, My Place

So, I was walking through my "place" where I often am taken in my dreams, and during meditation, and usually there is a pretty heavy mist that covers everything. It's not quite fog, but its mist enough that it could be confused as such. This time, the mist was a very thin veil between me and everything around me. It is a forest area outside, I never see the sun shine because it is almost always overcast or twilight. The forest vegetation is very thin and the grass between trees is perfectly mowed. It never seems to grow. I make a left turn where I always do to find my horse.

I've had a few dreams in the past in this exact place, and I've done some shamanic work on them. My horse is a HUGE majestic Clydesdale with a very long mane and very long tail. The mane and tail is silvery white, while the body and feathers of the horse are black. My shaman and I decided the horse symbolized my spirit, because in my first dream of this series, I walked up to it and it breathed in my face, filling me with power. My Horse's colors, we decided, symbolized the balance between male and female energy in me, the total Black body meaning my feminine outweighs my masculine...

But after this left turn, this time, instead of me walking up to my horse, my horse walks up to me. It seems to cower, and I feel taller than it although I am aware that it is about two feet taller than me. It then lowers it's head and nuzzles my arm. My arm is left with black paint on it, and I look at my horse and where there was black paint, there is now white fur. I am shocked, but my horse seems to be sorry as I pet it and more and more black paint comes off. The only places black paint doesn't come off are the legs and the breast, and a small ring around both eyes. The mane and tail stay white, but no longer silvery. Then the mist seems to thicken. I don't remember much beyond that point, but I am so curious to see what you think about it...

Thanks so much,

Viv

Outrageous Sex

Ok, this is real. I have a girlfriend whom I have had for at least 2 years or so. I keep having this dream that there is this other girl that is a lot hotter than her with me and that we are always having hot passionate sex. I can't get enough of this girl. I actually spend time in my day just thinking of this girl and how good the "sex" is. I feel as if I don't love my girlfriend as much as I used to because I know that there is something better out there. In my dreams we do the craziest things. It feels as if I can go for hours with this girl. I have at least 10 orgasms and she can keep up with me easily. I have even masturbated during the day to this girl. I feel as if I should just end it with my girlfriend and seek out this wonder girl in my dreams. Maybe she is an actual person out there. What does this all mean?

Rock Star Change

I went to visit a friend called Wesley (people don't expect us to be friends as he is into rock music etc & I am not), who in the dream, lived in a small terrace house in the city. I knocked on his door & he let me in. His family was not too pleased that he had visitors but he let me in. We then went into the sunlounge, which reminded me of my friends house. We ended up kissing & he all of a sudden turned into a famous singer but I didn't seem to notice. His house then turned into mine although in the dream I didn't live there & his family were anxious of my being there.

Unseen Force

Hi,

I've been having these dreams for about 2 years now, on a pretty regular basis. At least once a month, sometimes more. I'm in bed, awake or so I think, but I find I can't move and something will try to drag me out of bed. I usually wake up to be in the same position. Sometimes I really wake up, but sometimes it just happens again, over and over in one night. Just two nights ago was the most violent attack, I actually got out of the paralysis and was fighting an unseen force. I finally woke when I heard the "thing" scream. It was awful and terribly frightening. What does this dream mean and why is it both more vivid and scary to me than other nightmares I've had? Ok, that's it. I hope you can shed some light on this for me.

Hot Chick

A woman is running, smoldering, someone runs after, but cannot quite catch up. The woman (in black top/white skirt) explodes into flames. Others are drawn into the growing fire. I am watching from a distance, and in between sheep are grazing unconcerned.
