I had a dream that I proposed marriage to an unknown woman. The proposal was at the 16th St Mall in lower downtown Denver. I was very happy that I was proposing and that she accepted.

The proposal could represent any commitment that you are considering. When it comes down to the wire, any such commitment is, essentially, to an unknown future situation. It could be an actual personal commitment, or it could be a new job, or simply a promise that you intend to keep.
